Lismore by Waterford Crystal – The Jewel Collection
Lismore is the most popular crystal design in the history of Waterford Crystal. To celebrate this wonderful pattern, Waterford Crystal is introducing a stunning new collection of jewelled coloured Lismore champagne flutes.
These new champagne flutes bring an unmistakable allure to the collection, yet remain true to Lismore’s innate grace and beauty.
Named after the ancient Irish village of Lismore (Lios Mor Mocuda), the
Lismore pattern was first introduced in 1952. Mirek Havel, a
distinguished crystal designer, and the then Chief of Design at
Waterford Crystal was charged with creating and designing a pattern that
would etch itself into the history of Waterford Crystal.
Inspired by
the charm and romance of Lismore Castle, Havel created a design based on
the lead etchings engraved into the windows of Lismore Castle and hence
the Lismore pattern was born.
Beloved by three generations of Waterford collectors, the Lismore design
is a timeless classic. Over the past fifty years Lismore has remained
true to its original design. The new generation of designers at
Waterford Crystal has created a distinct jewelled coloured collection
that highlights the sheer beauty and timelessness of this classic
pattern.
Exclusively at Brown Thomas.
