Tailoring
A number of designers showed a return to the classics with
tailoring making a strong statement across the catwalks.
Masculine-inspired trousers suits, often with waistcoats,
competed with more feminine pantsuit combinations
of cigarette trousers and tunic tops.
Such structure was also evident in military and retro
detailing from epaulettes to 50s silhouettes.
Most notably, Dolce & Gabbana presented a self-celebration
of its famous tuxedo jacket.
Showcased in its many guises, from double to single-breasted;
the ode to power dressing put a modern twist on the Dolce & Gabbana of old.
