  Due to the popularity of the Brown Thomas Black Loyalty Programme, it is currently taking 5-8 working days to register cards.
  Please note that any points that you earn before your card is registered, will not show on your online account but will be saved and allocated to your account once your card is registered.

Registration

• How can I apply for Brown Thomas Black?

  Simply pop into your nearest Brown Thomas or BT2 store. Our Loyalty Team will be on hand and happy to sign you up.

• Do I have to be approved?

  No, as a Brown Thomas customer Brown Thomas Black is our way of saying "thank you". Your card is attached to the registration form and available for you to use immediately.

• Can I earn points from my first transaction?

  Yes - points are accrued and attributed to your account once you register your details with us.

• How do I register my details?

  Once you have collected your card in-store, you can either complete the registration form and drop it off at our Loyalty Lounges or any of the Brown Thomas Black post boxes around the store. You can also complete the form online at www.brownthomas.com/black or by calling us on 1890 987 988.

  Your application pack also contains a pre-paid envelope for you to send your details back to us. Make sure you do register your details with us so we can send you your reward

• What information do you require from me in order to register?

  The registration form is quick and easy. We simply require your contact details and your consent to contact you either by email, post, SMS or phone. Make sure you do tick one of the boxes so we can send you your reward

• Why do you want to know my birthday date?

  We’d like to give you something to celebrate on your special day!
  
  Use your Brown Thomas Loyalty card three days before your birthday, the day of your birthday and three days after and you will earn triple points on your purchases.
  
  Exclusions apply on the purchase of Brown Thomas Gift Cards, Car Parking, A-Wear in Brown Thomas Limerick, Yo Sushi Clarendon Street and Starbucks at BT2 Grafton Street.

• I am a Brown Thomas MasterCard holder - can I benefit from Brown Thomas Black?

  Absolutely - You will still benefit from all the rewards of the Encore Rewards programme including 3% back on all your transactions.

  When you present your Brown Thomas Black at the time of payment you will also earn points so for you it’s extra rewarding!

• Do I have to pay with my Brown Thomas MasterCard to benefit?

  No, you can pay whichever way you choose

• How many points can I earn?

  Black and Black+ card holders earn 1 point for every €1 spent. Platinum Black card holders earn 2 points for every €1 spent.

• What are my points worth?

  Earn €1 for every 100 points

• Can I earn points on all my purchases?

  Points can be earned on all purchases with the exception of Brown Thomas Gift Cards, Car Parking, A-Wear in Brown Thomas Limerick, Yo Sushi Clarendon Street and Starbucks at BT2 Grafton Street.

• How soon will my points be registered?

  Your points will be registered on the system up to three working days after your purchase.

• How can I keep track of how many points I've earned?

  You can check your points balance at any time by setting up an online account at www.brownthomas.com/black or your can call the Loyalty Line on 1890 987 988.

• Can I redeem my points at any time?

  At the highest level of membership - Platinum Black - you can use your reward on any transaction at any time.

  If you are a Black card holder your reward will be available to spend in February each year. You have until the end of April to spend your reward - so make sure you earn as many points as possible on your Christmas shopping!

  If you are a Black+ card holder, your reward will be available to spend in February and August each year - in time for the arrival of the new season’s collections. You have until the end of April and the end of October respectively to spend your reward.

• Can I redeem my points on any purchase?

  Yes - with the exception of Brown Thomas Gift Cards, Car Parking, A-Wear in Brown Thomas Limerick, Yo Sushi Clarendon Street and Starbucks at BT2 Grafton Street.

• Do my points expire?

  If you are a member of our highest tier - Platinum Black, your points do not expire.

  For Black cardholders points are available to spend from February until the end of April.

  If you are a Black+ cardholder, points are available to spend from August until the end of October. After this time points expire so make sure you use your reward and treat yourself to something special!

• I’m a Platinum Black cardholder. How do I avail of my complimentary drink?

  When you are having something to eat in The Restaurant Brown Thomas Dublin, Table Restaurant in Brown Thomas Cork or Egg Café in Limerick, simply present your Platinum Black card when you are paying your bill and you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with our compliments.

  Alternatively you can enjoy a complimentary glass of red or white house wine with your meal in The Restaurant Brown Thomas Dublin, Table Restaurant in Brown Thomas Cork.

  *Please note that this offer is for one cup of tea or coffee or red or white house wine per Platinum Black cardholder per meal.

• What’s my birthday treat?

  Your birthday treat is triple points on purchases made the week of your birthday! Triple points will be awarded for the three days before your birthday, the day of your birthday, and for three days after.

• What’s my birthday treat?

  We’d like to give you something to celebrate on your special day!

  Use your Brown Thomas Loyalty card three days before your birthday, the day of your birthday and three days after and you will earn triple points on your purchases.

• When will my birthday treats be visible on my account?

  If you are a Platinum Black cardholder, your birthday points will be converted into your reward and loaded onto your card 8 working days after your birthday.

  For all other cardholders, your birthday points will be added to your account at the end of the month following your birthday.
  So if your birthday is in December, you birthday points will appear on your account at the end of January.

• My birthday is coming up and I haven’t heard from you.

  We will send you notification of your birthday treat using whatever method of communication you selected when signing up to the Brown Thomas Black loyalty programme.
  To check your details and to make sure you have registered your birthday with us, please log on to your online account.

  If you still haven’t heard from us, your registration form may still be working its way through the system.
  However, please rest assured that once your card is registered any birthday points earned three days before your birthday, the day of your birthday and three days after, will be automatically applied to your account.

• I am a Platinum Cardholder – what’s my birthday treat?

  You will continue to earn double points on your purchases. However for the three days before your birthday, the day of your birthday and three days after, your double points will be tripled.
  e.g. if you spend €100, you would normally receive 200 points but during your birthday week you will receive 600 points.

• Can I earn birthday points on any purchases?

  Exclusions apply on the purchase of Brown Thomas Gift Cards, Car Parking, A-Wear in Brown Thomas Limerick, Yo Sushi Clarendon Street and Starbucks at BT2 Grafton Street.

• I received a Brown Thomas Gift Card for my birthday. Do I get my birthday points when spending the Gift Card?

  Absolutely!

Upgrades

• Do I have to wait a whole year to be upgraded?

  No. As soon as your spending qualifies you for a higher level of membership, you will automatically be upgraded. When you reach the Platinum Black tier we will send you a new card.

• What happens if I don't spend enough in a year?

  If your spending falls below that required for your existing level of membership, you will then revert to the level that matches your spending. However, you will be upgraded again as soon as your spending goes back up to the relevant level.

Forgotten and Lost Cards

• What if I forget my Brown Thomas Black when I am shopping?

  As of February 1st we will no longer be able to apply points retrospectively to your account unless your are a Platinum Black cardholder, so please make sure to always carry your Brown Thomas Black Loyalty card.

• If I forget my Brown Thomas Black can I bring the receipts back at a later date to be credited to my account?
