We are tackling issues facing the planet head on, and want to be part of the solution for our customers. Plastic beauty empties such as foundation bottles, mascara wands and lipstick tubes are not readily recyclable in Ireland. This results in these materials unnecessarily ending up in landfill or as plastic ocean waste. We are proud to offer a solution for your beauty recycling needs, offering a place to drop off your empties, for responsible full circle recycling. Your beauty empties will be sorted, cleaned and recycled to make new products, supporting a more circular economy.


How to BeautyCycle

    Bring your beauty empties to your nearest till point
  • 2.
    Have your loyalty card scanned to receive 250 loyalty points for your deposit
  • 3.
    Check which items can and cannot be accepted
  • 4.
    Drop your empties into the BeautyCycle box

WE ACCEPT

Hair- care, make-up and skin- care empties, including:

  • Compacts
  • Concealer tubes
  • Eyeliner and lip pencils
  • Foundation bottles
  • Lipstick cases
  • Mascara

WE CAN’T ACCEPT

Items which can be recycled in your home recycling, or any sharp or flammable items, such as aerosols, nail polish, perfume or razors.

Brown Thomas will ensure your beauty empties are responsibly recycled
(and don’t end up as ocean waste or in landfill).


Terms & Conditions
Offer: Get 250 Loyalty points when you deposit any eligible* empty beauty container in a designated beauty recycling bins. Offer available to registered Loyalty members only. Loyalty customers must bring their recycling beauty containers to the designated till points in-store, and present their loyalty card to earn the loyalty points, before depositing their items.  The items should be deposited in the designated Beauty recycling bins, located in the Planet Beauty department or at the Concierge Desk on the lower ground floor.  The 250 points will be added to loyalty accounts within 14 days.  Offer limited to 2 return transactions per customer per month, up to a maximum of 500 Loyalty points. Offer currently available in-store only at Brown Thomas Dundrum.
