5. FAITHFULL THE BRAND

WHO: Years before ethical fashion became a buzzword, friends and founders Sarah-Jane Abrahams and Helle Them-Enger wanted to create timeless dresses that were made sustainably and were affordable. And so in 2012, the brand was born in Bali. This is the sustainable summer brand you need to know.

WEAR: Faithfull The Brand is based in Indonesia, and each piece is hand-dyed, printed and made by local artisans. The collections are rooted in the spirit of travel, and many of the patterns are inspired by fabrics collected from vintage markets all over the world. 6. RETROFÊTE

WHO: After spending years sourcing vintage pieces around the world for family and friends, co-founders Ohad Seroya and Aviad Klin launched Retrofête, which takes its name from a fusion of synonyms for ‘vintage’ and ‘party’. Celebrating the glamour and opulence of decades past, the collection of sleek dresses features glittering sequins, lace and ruching in voluminously draped silhouettes. Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow are among the label’s celebrity fans.

The brand derives its name from a translation of the French ‘vintage party,’ a nod to the fact that Ohad Seroya and Aviad Klin began their fashion careers sourcing great vintage looks for friends and family and then turned it into a brand.

WHAT: Embellishment, sequins, lace and ruching are the order of the day often with fun, voluminous shapes.

WEAR: It’s a brand for the girl who likes to make the entrance of all entrances.

Retrofête is coming to our Dublin store this February.
