Not only that, our Dublin beauty hall just launched a virtual beauty mirror so you can try thousands of makeup shades to discover your perfect match across many of your favourite brands from our beauty directory.

Makeup & the Mask

We are all aware of the importance of wearing masks to keep ourselves and each other safe. From a beauty point of view, it brings a whole new focus to the eyes. Perfect groomed brows with Bae Brow and Tweezerman, or amp-up lashes with the new NARS Climax Extreme Mascara and MAC’s new Powder Kiss Soft Matte Eye Shadow. This slower pace has led many of us to spend more time investigating what we really need from our skincare products and to understand the specific ingredients that power our favourite formulas, helping us make the very best choices.

We analysed the data to see which beauty ingredients have been searched for the most on the Brown Thomas site since lockdown and highlighted the benefits you’ll reap from each ingredient.

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3, which is famous for having soothing and healing properties which are essential for treating breakouts. Extensive research also shows niacinamide works to protect skin from environmental damage and stimulates the skin to produce more collagen and hyaluronic acid. It improves hydration, reduces signs of ageing, diminishes enlarged pores, and significantly lessens skin discolouration. We recommend Omorovicza Silver Skin Savior for combating blemishes and breakouts. Squalane is great for balancing oil production, providing just enough moisture to keep the skin clear and healthy.
