Method and Madness Ruby Port Single Cask 28 Year Old is a ‘world first’ for Irish whiskey. This limited edition release is a single pot still Irish whiskey initially aged for 6 years in American bourbon barrels and then transferred to a ruby port pipe to mature for a further 22 years. It’s not every day that single pot still whiskey meets with a ruby port pipe. But 28 years ago, we posited a theory that the two could harmonise quite nicely over time. Theory confirmed, as you’ll see upon first sip.
