Something Wrong? No Problem
Online purchases can be refunded within 21 days of receiving your order. All returned products must be
accompanied by the original receipt. It is your responsibility to ensure that the products are properly
packed and that you receive proof of postage and tracking number from your chosen carrier or postal service.
Please note returns through An post will be charged at €4.95.
In-store purchases can be exchanged within 28 days of purchase or refunded within 14 days of purchase, provided the products are returned as sold and accompanied by the original receipt.
Nothing in this policy will impact your statutory rights.
Non-returnable items:*
- unsealed, opened and worn items;
- made-to-measure, made-to-order, altered, or personalised items;
- items that are not suitable for return for health protection and hygiene reasons, and which have been unsealed following delivery;
- all food items (including hampers);
- beauty products where packaging has been removed or unsealed;
- intimates, briefs, lingerie, underwear, swimwear, hosiery, and body contour apparel;
- gift cards;
- bedding (including mattress protectors, duvets, duvet covers, sheets, pillows, pillowcases and pillow protectors);
- seasonal products, Christmas decorations, and Christmas trees;
- earrings and pierced jewellery;
- paper carrier bags.

How Can I Return?

Online Purchases
Republic Of Ireland
Option 1. Return An Online Order Via Post
• Step 1 Fill out the Returns Form included with your order and enclose it with your products. Pack your product carefully, preferably in the original packaging. If this is not possible, please pack to equivalent standards to ensure safe transit.
• Step 2 Go to An Post Returns and follow the simple instructions on how to return your item(s). Please note, if you are returning an electrical item you should select the ‘Arnotts Electrical’ option. You will have two options:
• Step 3 Under the Retailer selection box, please select ‘Brown Thomas’ to ensure a fast refund. Please note, if you are returning an electrical item, you should select the 'Brown Thomas Electrical' option.
• Step 4 You will have the option to either print a returns label or schedule a pickup where the label will be provided by An Post upon collection. Please note it may take up to 14 days for your items to reach us.
Availing of the above service allows you to return a package up to 20kg at a preferential rate.
Option 2. Return Items To Store
Online purchases must be returned within 21 days from when you received your order and be in a saleable condition along with the order confirmation, email and dispatch invoice.
Northern Ireland
• Step 1 Fill out the Returns Form included with your order and enclose it with your goods.
Pack your product carefully, preferably in the original box with the original packaging. If this is not
possible, please pack to equivalent standards to ensure safe transit.
• Step 2 Go to DPD.ie/returns and follow the simple instructions on how to return
your item(s). Please note, if you are returning an electrical item you should select the ‘Brown Thomas
Electrical’ option. Fill out your details and print off the label and present the parcel at your local DPD
drop off location. Your parcel will be returned to Brown Thomas via the DPD network and you’ll have full
tracking throughout the delivery journey.
Please note items may take up to 14 days to reach us.
Availing of the above service allows you to return a package up to 20kg at a preferential rate

In-Store Purchases
These may be exchanged within 28 days, or refunded within 14 days of purchase. Please note merchandise must be accompanied by an original receipt or a digital receipt on the Brown Thomas App. and follow the simple instructions on how to return your item(s). Please note, if you are returning an electrical item you should select the ‘Brown Thomas Electrical’ option. Fill out your details and print off the label and present the parcel at your local DPD drop off location. Your parcel will be returned to Brown Thomas Arnotts via the DPD network and you’ll have full tracking throughout the delivery journey. Refunds are issued to the original method of payment. A gift receipt is not an original receipt. Reduced price merchandise may only be exchanged.

Furniture Items Purchased Online
Returns of any Rathwood furniture & BBQs must take place within 14 days of delivery receipt. The item(s)
must be unassembled, in new condition, in original packaging with all tags still attached and fit for
resale. Please note there is a flat fee of €39 which will apply to any Rathwood Furniture returned. This
will cover the pickup of your furniture and internal administrative costs. To begin the return process,
please contact our Customer
Service team. Once we have received the item back within the timescale advised, an
inspection will be carried out to ensure product is re-sellable. Please allow up to 5 days from the date of
collection for this to be completed.
Faulty items: Please ensure you inspect your products carefully upon delivery. In the unlikely scenario
that your product is arrives damaged or faulty you should advise us as soon as possible within 24 hours of
delivery via email with photographs of any fault. Our teams will arrange a collection free of charge for a
refund or replacement.

Waste Electrical And Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Returns
We will take back your WEEE on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis, free of charge in our electrical departments in-store. We will also take back your used portable batteries on a one-for-zero basis. You are not obliged to make any purchase when returning old batteries.

Pre-loved Returns Policy
All items can be returned within 14 days of purchase (for in-store sales) and within 14 days of receipt of your purchase (for online sales). The item(s) must be in the same condition that it was sold in and returned with tags still attached and with all items it was supplied with, including the certificate or letter of authenticity and original receipt.
Please note that given the unique characteristics of each pre-loved item, a thorough inspection will be carried out by our expert teams before we can process your refund. Your return rights will not apply if the fault, including wear and tear, was pointed out to you before you bought the item.
Vintage Watches With Dayt
The Brown Thomas Arnotts Returns & Exchanges policy applies, however please see below additional
conditions and procedure:
Vintage watch returns can only be processed in our Grafton Street store in Dublin. No postal returns.
In order to process your return/refund, all watches must undergo assessment by our team of horologists to
ensure the original condition has been maintained. Please allow up to 10 days from the moment we receive
your item back to complete this process.
All watches must be returned unworn, unaltered,in the same condition they were received, in their original
boxes and with all paperwork (this includes warranties), parts and accessories to insure any credit. “New
and unused” means that there are no scratches, marks, or blemishes on the item; tags and protective stickers
and factory plastic seals have not been removed; there are no signs of wear on the product or the case; and
the product must not have been sized or altered in any way. Note that dings and scratches will happen even
if a watch has only been worn for a few hours. We cannot accept a return of any item with any indication
that it has been used.
