MODERN METALLIC

Aidan says: “Futuristic-inspired shimmering eyes is a big trend for the season to come and it's a great way to have fun! Make up is all about expression and enhancing you. Lavish a layer of MAC's Dazzleshadow across your eyelid in a fluid motion, these eyeshadows are deeply pigmented and there's literally zero chance of any fall down from the pigment. They set super quickly while giving a gorgeous metallic frosty sheen!”

TIMELESS RED

Elena says: “Lips are bolder than ever this autumn. A great base is the perfect foil to statement red. To begin I hydrated the skin with La Mer Revitalising Serum and Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. Then I used NARS Light Reflecting Foundation in shade Fiji with NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Vanilla. I used a mix of MAC Pearl Cream Colour Base with MAC Double Gleam Powder Highlight to achieve an almost ethereal skin finish. To add definition to the face I used Clinique Chubby Contour Stick and a light dusting of Laura Mercier Blush Colour Infusion in chai to inject some colour. Lip Liner was MAC Red with Charlotte Tilbury Red Revolution Lipstick - the recent resurgence of using lip liners help to keep the focus on your natural pout. To frame the look I used Brow Aid Definer Duo to fill in the brows and give them a lovely full finish, the brow gel also sets them beautifully. Finally, I used Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray to set the makeup and for added dewiness.”

POP OF PASTEL

Aidan says: “Believe it or not spring-like shades were a surprise hit on the autumn/winter catwalks, bringing some cool colour to the mix. SOFT GOTH

Elena says: “Soft Goth, a dark glamorous beauty look shows no signs of slowing down for autumn. To create the look I drenched skin in Augustinus Badar The Cream. I wanted a slightly pale complexion so I opted for a foundation slightly lighter than the model’s skin tone. I used Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Complexion Drops with NARS Soft Matte Concealer in areas she needed more coverage. To create that lived in smokey eye I used black track as a base and buffed into it using a matte black eyeshadow YSL Crush Mono Eyeshadow in shade 32 and buffed it out to the edges using Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Powder. To soften the palette I added a pink hue on the cheeks from MAC Mineralize Blush and kept lips simple with Bobbi Brown liner in Pink Mauve and Westman Atelier Squeaky Clean Lip Balm in shade Chou Chou.”

WINGED EYELINER

Aidan says: “TikTok’s trends for alluring and elongating eyes have supercharged the mood for winged eyeliner this season. To get the look, invest in the tools, use a sharp flat angled liner brush, my favourite is the MAC 266 brush. First sketch out the shape of your winged eyeliner, once you're happy with the shape you can then use the brush to connect the eyeliner onto the lash line working all the way into the inner corner of the eye. My top tip is to use a cotton bud with a little concealer on the tip to clean up your eyeliner shape and balance out each eye so they are symmetrical!”

ELEMENTAL EARTH

Elena says: “Neutral tones take on a more down-to-earth feel this season offering a more grounded natural look. Create a polished base with Augustinus Badar Essence and The Cream and Bobbi Brown Illuminating Moisture Balm to give a dewy look and to further prep the skin for foundation. Apply Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Soft Radiance Foundation to the centre of the face blending outwards using a Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Brush. Correct and conceal the under eye area with Bobbi Brown Skin Corrector Stick in Light Bisque and NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in shade Vanilla. I lightly dusted Rodial Deluxe Glass Powder into the t-zone with a fluffy brush and worked Charlotte Tilbury Eye Cheat in the waterline to brighten the eyes. I waved a wash of Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Bronzing Powder over the eyes using a fluffy eyeshadow brush to sculpt the face. Finishing with Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk Lip Liner to line and MAC Squirt Plumping Gloss Stick to add a soft sheen to the lips.”

LATTE

Elena says: “The latte makeup trend is all about an effortless take on bronzing which will add longevity to that summer glow, but beware it’s as addictive as your daily caffeine fix—and is hot news on TikTok because of its modern goddess appeal. All looks begin with great skin, Augustinus Badar The Essence and La Mer The Moisturising Soft Cream nourish and plump the skin for this look. Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation was added for bounce while Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick was added for areas that needed extra coverage. I used Vieve Eye Wand in the shade Camel and then the NARS Eyeshadow Quad in Lagina to bring warm tones to the eyes, defining with MAC Eye Liner in Costa Riche and built a full on lash look with YSL Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara. For highlights I used a Tom Ford Soleil de Feu Highlighter and NARS Blush in Lustre and Iconic Nude Liner to add definition to the lips layering Tom Ford Sable Smoke on top, Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre in Ibiza Nights gave the final nod to the latte trend.”
