When it comes to blending wines from so many different years, Krug has mastered the art. Its Grand Cuvée champagnes have reached a unique fullness of aromas and flavours that are the direct result of this kind of blending – characteristics that simply couldn't be achieved with the wines of a single year. With this latest release – Krug Grand Cuvée 171ème Édition – the Maison has blended new wines from the complex 2015 season with reserve wines from its vast collection. All of Krug's prestige champagnes gain beautifully with the passage of time, and after seven years in the cellars, the character of this particular Édition is even more accentuated.

• Grape varieties: Pinot noir (43%), chardonnay (35%) and meunier (22%) blended with reserve wines (146 wines from 11 different years) and kept in the Krug cellars for seven years to develop their elegant style and intense flavours. Appearance: A light golden colour and fine vivacious bubbles promise pleasure. Aroma: On the nose, you can expect aromas of flowers in full bloom combined with notes of ripe, dried and citrus fruit, as well as marzipan and gingerbread. Tasting notes: In the mouth, flavours of almond paste, quince, lemon, limoncello and dried fruit abound
