Old Candle Jars
Be inspired by luxury brand, diptyque, and give your candle a new life. In this modern day and age, we are all focused on reducing our own personal waste and being sustainable where we can. A simple way to do this is to reuse and upcycle your used candle vessels/jars to breathe new life into them and extend their life cycle.
Whether small, medium or large in size, an empty candle jar can be a lovely addition to your bathroom, desk or bookshelf. And the possibilities are endless.
Start By Cleaning Your Candle Jar
Let’s begin! Take an empty candle jar, and soak it in hot water until the wax begins to soften. Boiling water will melt the wax and as a result, it will rise to the top. Allow to cool and remove the wax, before washing the glass again with hot water and dish soap (avoiding the label). Now you just have to decide what you’d like to house in there!
1. Bathroom Storage
Your freshly cleaned jar is now ready to become a pretty sanctuary of bathroom storage. Sit on a shelf or cabinet, or even on top of your sink. Depending on the size of your jar, you could either use it as a pretty home for your toothpaste and toothbrushes, or as a little container for cotton wool pads, floss or even cotton buds.
