HOW WE LAUNCHED SPRING SUMMER 2020
We kick-started spring 2020 with a colour-saturated show at the Douglas Hyde Gallery at Trinity College Dublin.
Behind all the headlines and hemlines lies some amazing stories from our sun-lit makeup look to our mesmerising sand dunes created by sand artist Daniel Doyle.
So, as spring summer 2020 gets underway, here’s 5 things you didn’t know about our spring show…
1. IT TOOK PLACE INSIDE THE DOUGLAS HYDE GALLERY
The clean modern backdrop of the Douglas Hyde gallery set the scene for spring summer 2020. Fashion and art collided in this exciting new space.
2. SAND DUNES BECAME OUR CATWALK
Models wove through purple-tinged sand dunes to transport guests to an iridescent desert and bring them on journey to see the very best of spring 2020.
The sand chosen for the project was a beautiful lilac colour, which flowed like it was from an hour glass...”

3. WE FELL FOR SUNLIT SUMMER HAIR & MAKEUP
Charlotte Tilbury created our beauty look with an illuminated complexion, a sweep of burnt orange across the eye and a subtle lip stain developed to offer a sunlit glow.
Neither rigid nor overly ‘done’, the look was hair that had just been washed and scraped back, but no less elegant for it.

4. THE SHOW ROCKED 90 LOOKS
Some 90 outfits were showcased with looks from Bottega Veneta, Prada, Victoria Beckham Paco Rabanne, Dior, Mugler and many more. Contrasting looks from clean minimal lines at Bottega to exquisitely decorative fabrics at Dries Van Noten x Christian Lacroix set Instagram alight.
5. SUSTAINABLE FABRICS WERE CENTRE STAGE
Sustainability continues to be considered at every angle from designers this spring. Most notably Dries Van Noten x Christian Lacroix who used recycled taffeta within their spring collection. For us we are considering how all our actions have an impact in the environment and working to make things better, including our shows, with this in mind we organised the sand we used in the show to be donated to the social enterprise and registered charity ReCreate.
