So whether you're looking to fall for a classic floral, searching for a unisex hero, or hoping to dip your toe into the realm of niche perfumery, see our verdict on the season's stand-out scents below.
Jo Malone London English Pear & Freesia
If you’re looking for autumn in a bottle, you’ve found it. The sensuous freshness of just-ripe pears wrapped in a bouquet of bright white freesias, and mellowed by amber, patchouli and woods is intoxicating in all the right ways. Discover limited edition bottles and packaging in store. Wear alone or layer with another cologne or your favourite bath and body products.
Frederic Malle’s Synthetic Jungle
There is nothing trend-driven about Frederic Malle’s house of fragrances, so when a new scent launches, we take note. Perfumer Anne Filpo has bottled up the verdant greenery of a fantasy jungle with this masterful new launch that is reminiscent of cult perfumes of the 1970s. Freshly snapped flower stems and aromatic basil are gently softened with a clean, lily-tinged floral bouquet, making the brilliantly named Synthetic Jungle a scent with mind-transporting powers.
SHOP THE RANGEByredo Young Rose
It’s easy to see why this Stockholm-based brand is so popular; in addition to the incredibly chic and minimal packaging, the unisex scents are as unique as they come and Young Rose is no different. This new floral woody fragrance is an ode to restless youth. Inspired by a trip to China, Young Rose fuses the classic rose and hot Sichuan pepper, to create an unconventional fragrance for a new era.
Dior Sauvage Elixir
Francois Demachy, Dior Perfumer-Creator, created the Sauvage Elixir fragrance like a fine liqueur made of exceptional ingredients. This fragrance for men unleashes an unexpected and surprising scent trail with notes of grapefruit, spices, organic AOP lavender and rich woods. It reinterprets the iconic freshness of Sauvage by embracing a trail with new custom-crafted facets.
Armani Privé Soie de Nacre The Yulong
This is a new aromatic woody fragrance for women and men. The perfect balance between the freshness of green tea and citrus and the intensity of black tea and smoked woods, infused with silky pearls that illuminate the skin. Black tea evokes the misty Yulong Mountains, while green tea and vibrant citrus notes lend freshness and evoke the snow-capped peaks that surround them. The result is a smoky, woody yet fresh and citrusy fragrance.
YSL Le Vestaire Rouge Velours
If rich, floral fragrances make you weak at the knees, YSL’s Le Vestaire Rouge Velours is the signature scent you’ve been waiting for. The fragrance expertly blends earthy and woody patchouli with the sweetness and freshness of roses, creating an overall complex and heady perfume. We’ll be spritzing ours onto our pulse points whilst dreaming of a stroll past the Louvre.
Giorgio Armani’s My Way Intense
If you like a floral take on a classic, you’ll love the latest incarnation of My Way. It opens with bright notes of orange blossom followed by an intense heart of tuberose. Sandalwood from New Caledonia takes an addictive creamy turn, as it meets a sweet vanilla perfume from Madagascar to balance the juice. Made with consciously sourced ingredients and an innovative refill system, it’s a perfect choice for the new season.
