ON WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE BULGARI POP-UP BOUTIQUE…

“For our second year at Brown Thomas, we wanted to create a unique space that would transport our clients in Ireland to the heart of Italy to celebrate our roots. The warm blue tone of our carpet creates an elegant contrast with the gold and marble details of the space which perfectly reflects the elegant and distinctive Italian design while creating a unique festive atmosphere. Our team is ready to offer not only an incredible product selection but also the best Italian hospitality.”

ON THE HISTORY OF BULGARI…

“The brand was founded in 1884. We are extremely proud of our roots and the humble beginnings of our founder, Sotirio Bulgari. He was a silversmith from Greece who travelled with his father to sell his creations around local markets before finally settling in Italy. It was here, more concretely in Rome, where they saw a real opportunity to grow the business, and that’s how the city itself turned into the ultimate inspiration behind each piece. Rome is a unique city with an incredibly rich history that has been providing the brand with endless inspiration for many years. Nowadays, our most iconic collections reflect the most recognisable sites of the Eternal City: B.Zero1 is inspired by the Coliseum and Diva’s Dream is inspired by the Baths of Caracalla's beautiful mosaic floors…to name a few!”

ON WHAT SHOULD BE ON YOUR WISHLIST THIS CHRISTMAS…

“Our newest and most popular icons will be on offer at the pop-up. Our Octo watches are always very popular with men and the Serpenti ones for women. There will be a big selection of jewellery pieces on offer as well, look for a Serpenti Viper rose gold ring or earrings - you can never go wrong with that gift! For accessories, our SS23 collection presented during Milan Fashion Week in September will be available too. Green and gold are perfect for the festive season.”

ON THE PERFECT GIFT…

“Any piece of Bulgari jewellery would make a perfect Christmas gift. I would always choose an iconic piece as you can’t go wrong with that. For the younger generation, I would choose a Serpenti Viper piece, a necklace or earrings are safe options when it comes to sizes. If you want to go for something more classic, a great gift would be a Diva’s Dream necklace with mother of pearl - it is very popular for its elegant simplicity. And of course, B.Zero1 should also be at the top of the Christmas gift shopping list as it is a true statement of Bulgari’s creative vision, challenging the very essence of jewellery design. For him, an Octo or Bulgari Bulgari watch, cufflinks, or maybe even a brooch!”

ON TREASURED CHRISTMAS TRADITIONS…

“The festive season is all about being with family and friends and spending some quality time together. In Italy, it is tradition to have a big family dinner on December 24 followed by a big family lunch on Christmas day. Imperative in both occasions is not to miss on Panettone and Torrone.”
