LIVING A CRYSTAL LIFE

TELL US ABOUT YOUR INSPIRATION FOR THE COLLECTION?
I wanted something timeless so I looked to the Golden Age of Hollywood cinema. The mise en scène of classics such as How To Marry a Millionaire and Cleopatra and the timeless glamour of stars such as Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor are a never-ending pool of inspiration. Jewel tones in technicolour, just magic.
I had Waterford Crystal in my home as a child so to be able to celebrate and entertain with my own collection is a dream come true.

WHO WOULD BE YOUR DREAM CLIENTS?
I’ve had the pleasure to design for and work with some very inspiring people over the years but if I had the power to travel back in time and create a bouquet for anyone I would make arrangements for both my grandmothers. I never got to meet either of them before they died but I’m told they both loved flowers.
Paris is always a good idea. Leatham is the floral designer for Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris.
JEFF'S TOP TIPS:
1. What are your favourite flowers to work with?
Roses, orchids and calla lilies.
2. What is your top arranging tip?
Keep it clean, simple and chic. The simplest way of achieving this is to pick one colour and stick to it.
3. Where should you place flowers in your home?
The entrance, bathroom and next to your bed are the most important areas.
4. What’s new for 2020 florals?
A trend I see coming down the line is simplicity, not using as many flowers, and thinking about the empty space as part of the arrangement.
