THE SILKY WAVE
Romantic wavy hair always looks the part and was the style of choice for most runways this season, including at Mother of Pearl. This look from Declan Shiels was inspired by the flawlessly coiffed ladies of Rodeo Drive. Creating the perfect tousled hair is not just down to expert brush work. To get this glamourous gleam then opt for an Instant Shine Treatment as an add-on to your blow dry service and this silky look will be all yours. STEP BY STEP1. For curly hair begin prepping with Light Elements Smoothing Fluid and Smooth Infusion Style Prep. For straight hair prep with Thickening Tonic. Blow Dry with a large round brush in bulky sections. 2. Create a low side parting to the right hand side of the head, setting sections of the hair with medium curling tongs. Working away from the parting horizontally, finish with Air Control Hairspray and pin if required. 3. Wait till the set has cooled, gently brush out, and tousle with the fingers to create a front wave, setting in place with Air Control Hairspray.

THE EMBELLISHED UP-DO
Clips, slides and barrettes are the trend of the moment that is set to stay. But coming up with inventive ways to add in your favourite hair accessories can be tricky. That’s where the expert stylists at the Beauty Lounge come in. Look to the Shrimps catwalk and the boho braids style reimagined with a modern twist by Syd Hayes. The hair colour de jour for blondes sits somewhere between blonde and brunette. If you are not fortunate enough to have this colour naturally it can be easily achieved through lightening or darkening, talk to one of our colour specialists on how you can recreate. STEP BY STEP1. Begin by prepping the hair with Volumising Tonic through the roots and ends, making sure to add Texture Tonic to the ends especially to add grip2. Blow dry the hair till completely dry. 3. Taking a low side parting, split two to three sections of the hair around the sides into three equal parts, plaiting ideally upside down, securing with pins around the crown area of the head in a circular figure4. Finish with Air Control Hairspray to tidy any flyaways and attach a decorative accessory where possible.
