Hi my name is Elena Costello, I’m from the Beauty Style Team at Brown Thomas. I’m available to help with any of your beauty, skincare or fragrance needs. Whether you want to try something new? 1. What’s your beauty philosophy?

For me, makeup should be a tool used to accentuate your natural beauty, empower you and make you feel like you can take on the world!

2. Tell us how you can help a customer in a virtual beauty consultation? What can they expect from the experience?

I can guide my clients through all the necessary steps to help them achieve their desired look. I will simplify everything so it’s easy to mimic at home. It will be a really fun way to learn how to apply makeup interactively.

3. How can you help a customer with skin concerns, virtually?

In terms of skin concerns I can compose a bespoke regimen for my clients through a thorough question and answer style consultation. This will be a unique skin care plan personalized to their specific concerns.

4. Can you give virtual makeup lessons?

Absolutely, I can guide my clients through the makeup lesson and make it as easy as possible for them to recreate on themselves.

5. What have been your life-saving beauty products over the last few months?

I’ve really given my skin care routine an overhaul. I’ve been living in Sisley’s Black Rose mask. It’s like a liquid facial. It plumps and hydrates the skin and leaves you feeling skin confident. I’ve also been using Sunday Riley A+ serum which is amazing for regenerating the skin and increasing collagen production. We have been blessed with amazing weather so I made sure to wear Skingredients Skin Shied SPF50 everyday to protect my skin.

1. What’s your beauty philosophy?

I love collaborating with my clients to help bring out the very best for them. Everyone is going to have unique lives with unique situations. I pride myself in being able to delve in and find really beautiful solutions to everyday concerns. I always believe that beauty is individual and accessible and love being able to help create that access for my clients.

2. Tell us how you can help a customer in a virtual beauty consultation? What can they expect from the experience?

We are lucky that our service has always been lesson orientated and we have always aimed to teach and advise our clients more than simply apply products. Our virtual appointments will be tailored to our clients concerns and we can talk through all of the different products you may need, how to apply them, the best solutions for whatever concern you have and give really easy informed tips and tricks that will completely simplify any concern you may have.

3. How can you help a customer with skin concerns, virtually?

There are so many visible signs the skin can give a person with my level of experience. I will be able to recognise skin concerns and quickly give solutions to whatever they may be. Being fully trained in over 30 brands we carry I have a huge wealth of knowledge that enables me to create solutions really easily and advise key products.

4. Can you give virtual makeup lessons?

We will guide our customers with easy to understand language and techniques to help show clients how to best apply their products. This will be great as the client will be able to learn exactly how to work on their own skin.

5. What have been your life-saving beauty products over the last few months?

Self-tans! This has really been an amazing mood and complexion lifter for me. We have some beautiful ones that are so hydrating and luxe on the skin that they truly make you feel you’ve been on holiday.
