Sorcha O’Raghallaigh

Making her highly anticipated return to CREATE, Sorcha blurs the parameters between art and fashion, with a love of handmade craft and ornamental detailing, her ready-to-wear designs are grand poetic gestures, imbued with a sense of ceremony. Her ethereal pieces have garnered her a A-List following; with her designs being worn by Beyoncé, Madonna, Maisie Williams, Kate Moss, Lady Gaga, Kylie Minogue and Florence Welch.

The Landskein

Designer and founder of The Landskein Anna Guerin feels passionately about the Irish landscape and its connection with fabrics such as Irish tweed and linen, her second CREATE collection showcases a limited-edition range of exquisitely tailored blazers and a modern twist on the classic trench coat.

RIXO London

Derry girl Orlagh McCloskey is one half of the design duo along with Henrietta Rix who make up the ever popular Rixo London. Their collections evoke a freewheeling spirit in all their wearers, known for their beautiful floral prints they have created a new and exclusive selection of feminine dresses, tops and skirts in a variety of floral and polka dot prints.

Leyo Yoga wear

Leyo is an Irish brand founded in Galway, Ireland by mother and daughter team Leah Tiernan and Orla Moore. Their mission is to create easy, refined, understated yoga wear that reflects a luxurious, contemporary and high fashion aesthetic. Expect a street-meets-sportswear offering for CREATE 2020.

Lucy Nagle

One of our best-loved alumni from CREATE 2013, Lucy Nagle has become an established designer at Brown Thomas stocking her collections across all stores. Lucy’s elegant knitwear is made from the finest cashmere and wool fabrics from Mongolia, this year she introduces cashmere maxi dresses to sit alongside signature sweaters, lounge sets and hoodies.

Richard Quinn

London-Irish designer Richard Quinn is known for his bold silhouettes and exuberant prints, whether it’s a bloom with acidic colours, puff-ball skirts or avant-garde touches like latex layers or face coverings. He makes clothes that are elegant enough for Amal Clooney at the Met Gala but fashion-forward enough for Kendall Jenner and at Emmys. This year his CREATE collection features dresses, tops, skirts and tees in striking daisy and rose prints.

Katie Ann McGuigan

Rising fashion star Katie Ann McGuigan is currently based in London, but hails from Newry, Co. Down. The designer draws from subcultures both at home and abroad to create her eclectic collections and has some colourful fans from Paloma Faith to Pheobe Waller-Bridge. She returns with an exquisite collection which draws inspiration from Tom Wood’s photography of early 1980’s Liverpool.

Grey + Ginger

Sustainable, ethical, inclusive and unique. Peter and Paul, the two halves of Galway-based Grey + Ginger, are striving to create fashion that makes a statement. Making their CREATE debut the collection will feature wearable art t-shirts and sweatshirts that stand for individuality, social awareness, equality and inclusivity.

The model-turned-designer credits her experience with internationally renowned designer and Queen of Knits Sonia Rykiel as the catalyst for her collections. Her beautifully crafted Aran knits in a rainbow of colours are entirely sourced and made locally in Donegal.

Milliner Leonora Ferguson takes her inspiration from everywhere. This year her collection is entitled “Ghost Net” which are natural sinamay veiling headpieces reflecting on the issue of discarded fishing nets littering our seas.

Michelle Kearns

Award-winning milliner Michelle Kearns creates handcrafted hats and headpieces that have been turning heads across the country for a number of years. She will present her ‘Showbands Collection’ for CREATE; a range of smaller headpieces perfect for intimate dinner parties and weddings to reflect the current times we’re in. Look out for sculpted feather work, intricate beading and new vintage-inspired styles in luxurious silk velvet.

Helena Malone

Helena Malone is a Future Makers award winning goldsmith, with a reputation for contemporary design and handmade precious jewellery. She believes in simplicity and minimalism and that jewels do not have to be over-ornate to be luxurious and interesting. Her collection for CREATE 2020 focuses on hand-making jewellery with a conscience.

A hugely successfully former CREATE designer, Bláithín Ennis returns with her striking cutting-edge handmade jewellery. Working from her studio in Wexford she references the strikingly beautiful Irish landscape in her work, all jewellery is individually handmade.

Name is Ted

From Mountmellick in the midlands of Ireland, My Name is Ted is a beautiful range of luxury leather accessories which are handcrafted to last a lifetime, so you can pass them from generation to generation. Favourites at CREATE are ‘The Door’ collection, a cross body bag with Georgian style solid brass door closure. Other standouts showcase the famous door from Eccles Street, Number 7, the location James Joyce centred his novel Ulysses and the hero Leopold Bloom.

Sasha Sykes

Sasha Sykes is an artist and sculptural furniture maker. Her work revolves around exposing and re-framing foraged and collected material, from simple life forms such as algae to complex structures such as bird’s nests - which she encapsulates in hand-cast resin to deliver an enviable level of technical perfection.

Mourne Textiles

Mourne Textiles was founded in the foothills of the Mourne Mountains, County Down, by Norwegian textile designer, Gerd Hay-Edie in 1954. Her iconic textile designs and pioneering weaving techniques became a staple of mid-century design. Today, the brand connects the designs of the past with modern influences, to create a collection of luxury home furnishing fabrics, cushions, blankets and scarves.
