On how beauty has changed over the last year…

I have really noticed how people have become obsessed with skincare and have started investing in products that truly work and give the results they’re after. I also think that even though we aren’t always seeing people face to face, makeup has become a must for everyone, but in different ways. You want to look like the best version of yourself, and makeup gives you the power to express that, without any boundaries.

On the inspiration behind CHANEL Les Fleurs

The team at CHANEL were inspired by blooming flowers for their spring-summer show, a rich, joyful, and vibrant palette of colours was worked with satiny and coppery sparkles, alongside glossy and velvety textures for a sensual, refined effect.

On her love of flowers…

Gardening is one of my favourite things, I am in awe of the magic of flowers. If I had to choose a favourite flower it would have to be the snowdrop. It’s gorgeous, delicate and is the first thing to come after the snow. The Les Fleurs collection is inspired by the beauty of the camellia, peony and iris, with the colours and textures of these flowers seen throughout. The signature CHANEL camellia is even embossed onto the powder of the blush palette. I am really looking forward to the weather changing and things opening up again, much like the flowers which inspired this collection, I was definitely destined to be in warmer climates!

On her top makeup picks from the collection…

The new spring-summer collection is stunning; I am obsessed with it all! There are two eyeshadow palettes in the collection, both filled with versatile colours that suit all skin tones. Bouquet Ambré is filled with warm browns and a soft, almost creamy metallic shade that melts onto the lids. I like to dip my brush in water before applying it to create a liquid metal effect. Golden Meadow has shades in pink and terracotta tones. I love the deep, sandy coral colour in the palette, which looks incredible with the frosted pink layered on top. The coral colour in this palette might be my favourite colour CHANEL has ever created! And finally, the creamy metallic shade in this palette is perfect for adding some light to your eyes.

For blusher lovers there is an incredible split palette, coupled with a highlighter. The colour of the blusher is subtle and easy to wear, and I like to wear the highlighter right on top to give a truly glowing finish.

For lips the Rouge Allure Laque (coming soon) is a brand-new formula, and the debut shade is perfect for a bitten-lip effect. It can either add a touch of colour, or you can layer it on top of a regular lipstick for deep pigment and shine. The lipstick bullets are seriously matte, which I love. The texture makes the formula diverse, allowing you to use them as eyeshadow or blush too. I have been applying these by patting them into my lips to create the desired hue.

If I am doing a smokey eye, I always use Les 4 Ombres in Clair-Obscur because the whole palette is matte, and I can really build up the colours to vary the intensity. Le Volume Stretch de Chanel (coming soon) is the most amazing mascara, the brush catches all my fine lashes and the formula makes them thicker, longer, and glossier. The product I absolutely couldn’t live without is the Baume Essential in Transparent. I use every single day on myself and on set. It's a beautiful, glossy highlight that truly brings makeup to life.

On her CHANEL spring skincare favourites…

At the moment, I'm loving the Sublimage skincare range, It's so Indulgent! I use the Gel-to-Oil Cleanser which dissolves all makeup and the texture allows me to get in a great massage while it cleanses my skin. I've also just started using Le Lift Lotion, which mimics the effects of retinol on the skin, but is far gentler.

her ways of switching up your beauty look for warmer weather…

I think the most striking way to switch up your look is by embracing a bold lip which is great for the spring-summer season - we saw a lot of this on the runway. CHANEL Rouge Allure Velvet Extrême in Éclosion and Pivoine Noire are bold shades that suit everyone. I'm loving warm-toned eyeshadows for springtime too; the colour and texture of the palettes are so authentic to how they appear in nature.

Gabrielle Chanel was truly the most inspiring entrepreneur, stopping at nothing for her art and truly embracing the person she was, even from a young age.

On self-care rituals…

Bathing is probably my favourite thing to do in the world; I could spend days in the bath! I have very dry skin, so I always apply a CHANEL Body Oil before my moisturiser when I get out, especially when it’s cold and wintery. I find the texture of an oil heavenly on my skin, and I use a body cream on top to seal all the goodness in.

On her favourite gift to give and receive…

I always think the best gift is a red CHANEL lipstick, because it suits everyone. I love Rouge Allure Ink Fusion in True Red because it can be worn both as a stain or an intense colour, depending on how you apply it. If I really wanted to spoil someone, I would get them the Hydra Beauty Camellia Repair Masque. Every time I use it, my skin looks and feels about 10 years younger!
