Ganni X Levi’s
You may have grown accustomed to your joggers but denim will always be a wardrobe essential. We are eagerly awaiting the second denim collaboration from this match made in heaven; the heritage denim aficionados at Levi’s and the Scandi it-girl staples-makers at Ganni. Building on both brands sustainability commitments their first collab was made of upcycled denim but this time they are going a step further using innovative cottonized hemp fabric. Advantageous to the cause as hemp generally requires less water and fewer pesticides in cultivation than conventionally grown cotton. Even better the hemp blended into these garments comes from rain-fed hemp crops, which reduces water usage even further. If you’re worried that this will create a stiffer fabric, fear not, it is then treated in a way that softens the fibre, making it look and feel indistinguishable from cotton. Expect both brands signature design details, in a range of dresses, shirts, jackets and you guessed it…jeans.
LOVESHACKFANCY X STRIPE & STARE
We love it when two of our favourite brands come together, especially when they produce such stunning sustainable results. Introducing the LoveShackFancy and Stripe & Stare collaboration, with all the lace-lined lingerie and loungewear you could ever desire this spring. LoveShackFancy’s signature girly prints make their way onto briefs, pyjamas and robes all made of Stripe & Stare’s super breathable sustainably sourced Tencel, modal made from trees and uses 95% less water than cotton in production.
RE/DONE
Is there anything better than worn-in jeans? Herein lies the basis for Re/Done, a downtown Los Angeles atelier that rework old Levi’s in a movement to keep heritage brands relevant and to promote a sustainable attitude to fabric and design. Keep an eye out for their seventies-inspired styles, straight cropped legs, distressed detailing, and whiskered fraying, perfect for summer-sunshine on the horizon.
