Whether you’ll be lunching, lounging or adventuring out, the Brown Thomas Personal Shopping team have thought of an outfit for all festivities. Here’s how to spend the big day in style.

There’s a lot to consider when shopping for the perfect Christmas outfit. You’ll want to look festive, but not like you’re playing dress-up, meaning threading the line of sequins and velvet without appearing kitsch. Or perhaps there are two parts to your day that will require an outfit change? As we said, a lot to consider.

So to help you with a little of your own Christmas Day outfit inspiration, we asked the fashion experts, the Brown Thomas Personal Shopping team, what they’ll be wearing come December 25th. From sequins to slippers, here’s your guide to fool-proof Christmas Day outfits for every eventuality.

CAROLINE HANRATTY - PARTY LOOK

“There’s no better time to dress and impress than Christmas! As we look forward to celebrating special occasions again, I chose a statement dress from Roksanda to truly enjoy the opportunity to dress up. Paired with a luxurious, plush shearling coat from Yves Salomon and styled with a glamorous and sophisticated pair of shoes from Jimmy Choo. An outfit sure to turn heads this party season! I plan on wearing it enjoying a night with family and friends over the festive period.”

REBECCA KERR - DINNER DATE

“Who doesn’t love dressing for a date night?! Whether it’s a night out with friends or a romantic dinner for two, this outfit will bring enough style and glamour whilst also being comfortable and fun. My favourite thing about this look has got to be the Oscar De La Renta Knit Bardot Midi dress. It’s girly, romantic and flirtatious. For ultimate girly glam, I’ve paired it with a pair of Valentino Rockstud T-Bar courts and a nude shoulder bag from Prada. After all, when it comes to dressing for dinner, you want to look good - but also feel good. This is achieved by a glamorous dress that can be worn with ease and of course, some comfortable shoes!”

EIDER LEITE - WINTER WALK

“I personally love winter walks: layering up, cosy coats, comfy shoes and amazing accessories - what’s not to love? If you’re planning on enjoying long walks in the crisp winter weather, a Teddy coat is a gorgeous staple that will elevate your everyday look, creating a chic but casual outfit. This look is my favourite as it offers multiple options out by mixing and matching the jeans and different tops. The Bottega Cassette bag is one of the most covetable pieces of the year and when paired with the Saint Laurent jeans, it looks incredibly chic and easy to wear.”

GABBY SEPUTYTE - DATE NIGHT

“I chose to style a date night look as those are my favourite nights, whether it is with my partner or a friend. I think it’s really important to go out and make that time for each other, especially after the two years we’ve all had. Also, it’s a great excuse to put on your best outfit and show it off! For this look, I decided to opt for a classic LBD, which you can never go wrong with. One of my favourites is from The Attico and it includes cut-out detailing, a scoop back and shoulder pads. I paired it with a gorgeous Jimmy Choo crystal detail clutch and added a pop of colour with the shoes. I also chose a few cool rings from Bea Bongiasca, which will add excitement to your hands and will be a focus of attention over dinner. The key to dressing for date night is the accessories, they change up the entire outfit. Find your favourite LBD and you can create a million different looks with different accessories.”

AMIE HAYES - WINTER WALK

“I decided on this outfit category because when I am not caught up in the chaos of fashion, I love to relax by going for walks with my toddler whilst looking stylish. As the old saying goes: ‘If you look good, you feel good!’ My favourite part of this look would be the Vince Hooded Shawl Lapel coat, the double cashmere is just so rich and cosy. All I want to do is hug myself anytime I put it on. For Christmas this year, I am most looking forward to seeing everyone getting dressed up and going all out - a bit of glamour is just what we all need.”

ELENA FALCONE - DATE NIGHT

“For this Dinner Date look, I wanted it to reflect my personal style which I would describe as versatile, stylish and unique. A dinner outfit, in my opinion, has to be sexy - without showing too much. It should be elegant and have a wow factor too. So because of this, I chose the Givenchy oversized blazer fastened with a unique branded padlock-inspired detail. I think the Khaite jersey bodysuit will complete the look well thanks to its simplicity and comfort. The statement piece in this outfit has got to be the Double Bow Satin Heels by Mach & Mach. The Attico jeans are made with a cotton stretch fabric and have a slim fit leg that falls to a long hemline that is cut with an exaggerated slit at the front, perfect for showing the ankle strap of the shoes. To complete this look, I’ve chosen the Jimmy Choo Venus Crystal & Pearl Satin bag which ties everything together nicely. I plan to wear this outfit in a luxury hotel down the country.”
