Her jewellery collection frkl, was a smash-hit success at CREATE 2022 and continues to go from strength to strength. We caught up with Angela to find out more about her beautiful jewels, far-flung places and the treasures she will be handing down to her two daughters Ruby Ellen and Marnie Fae…
On starting her jewellery brand…
I have always been obsessed with jewellery, layering it, finding beloved pieces in places I go, collecting it, it links me to important or pivotal moments in my life, reminds me of people in far-flung places and brings me back in time. Every single piece in the 'frkl' collection is made with this in mind- a collection of base pieces that can be adorned, added to and loved forever. Marking birthdays and break-ups, new ventures and wild adventures. The highs, the lows and all that good stuff in between. Pieces that connect us- to a place, a person, a memory, a milestone, a victory, ourselves.

On the name frkl…
It's a play on connecting the dots! Often the things we initially dislike about ourselves (for me, freckles!) that make us feel other or separate are actually our strengths. When we embrace them we give others permission to embrace their own oddness and brilliance and uniqueness. Each charm comes with their own meaning, each with their own memory, each with their own story-different for every one of us. A beautiful, unapologetic and true expression of all that is YOU.
On What's Bringing Her Joy...
My baby girls. I'm trying to properly slow down and breathe in all the madness and chaos and wild, wild love. I also love scrunchies right now- the bigger the better. I'm finally accepting that a "Mom bun" is where I'm at for now. Swimming is also top of the list, I love nothing more than washing the day away in a pool (not literally, I also shower)! I live near Hampstead Heath and swim in the 'ladies ponds' there which is such a treat. Freezing, with ducks and wind but glorious.

My wedding ring. It’s a simple gold band with pale blue sapphires by Polly Wales. It's raw and ‘found’ looking which I love.
