NAMES TO KNOW

We’ve searched the well-established line up of cities to find you the hottest new brands of the moment and are seeing brands emerge from places as diverse as L.A., Amsterdam and Copenhagen. Here’s who you need to name drop (and to wear) now.

STINE GOYA

The Designer: Former model and fashion editor Stine Goya formed the Danish brand in 2006.

Known for: Timeless and wearable pieces in feminine silhouettes merged with bold colours and art inspired prints.

Who wears it: Loved and worn by Insta-fashion girls at Copenhagen Fashion Week.

The Key Piece: The Nikki Wrap dress and the Renee Shirt dress will take you from day to evening.

WANDLER

The Designer: Dutch designer Elza Wandler launched her luxury leather goods brand in 2017 and is currently based in Amsterdam.

Known for: Super chic, super elegant luxury bags that specialise in both function and shape with a distinctive and modern aesthetic.

Who wears it: Wandler’s bags were a big hit with influencers Linda Tol and stylist Georgia Tal who have been spotted rocking them across their Instagram stories.

The Key Piece:  The Hortensia shoulder bag and the Billy Crossbody bag are the hot picks from the collection.

KENZO

The Designer: Japanese-French designer Kenzo Takada founded luxury fashion house Kenzo in 1970. In July 2011, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim of clothing store Open Ceremony, were announced as Creative Directors for the brand.

Known for: Kenzo is widely known for its youthful spirit and love of print.

Who wears it: Beyoncé, Alexa Chung, Kourtney Kardashian, Rihanna, Jessica Alba, Dakota Fanning, Reese Witherspoon and Selena Gomez.

The Key Piece:  The Key Piece: The rose-printed blouse and slinky skirt look.

STAUD

The Designer: Sarah Staudinger and George Augusto founded Staud in downtown Los Angeles in 2015 on a commitment to produce accessible, innovative pieces for contemporary women.

Known for: Modern classic pieces using only the finest of materials. Their aim is to produce elegant bags that forgo trend for timelessness.

Who wears it: Alexa Chung, Leandra Medine and Pandora Sykes.

The Key Piece:  The Shirley Clear Tote bag and the Moreau Mini Plant Pot bag.

MM6

The Designer: Originally known as ‘Line 6’, the infamous Maison Martin Margiela launched MM6 in 1997. Finnish Designer Heikki Salonen joined the design team in 2013.

Known for: Feminine and casual basics with contemporary cuts and prints, perfect for an everyday wardrobe.

Who wears it: Kaia Gerber, Hailey Baldwin, Vanessa Hudgens, Bella Hadid, Ruby Rose and Kylie Jenner.

The Key Piece: Their immaculately tailored jackets.

REJINA PYO

The Designer: Korean designer Rejina Pyo completed her MA in Fashion Design at London’s Central Saint Martins in 2011. The designer went on to work as Roksanda Ilincic’s first assistant before setting up her own label in 2014.

Known for:  The contemporary fashion brand is known for it’s unexpected colours from abstract art with subtle femininity. Pyo’s philosophy is to create modern, wearable pieces for women all over the world.

Who wears it: Actress Zawe Ashton wore a Rejina Pyo dress to an Elle event in December. The brand is regularly worn by streetstyle influencers at London Fashion Week.

The Key Piece: Her dresses with contrasting colourways.

ROTATE

The Designer: Launched at Copenhagen Fashion Week in August 2018, Danish brand Rotate is the definition of Scandi-cool. The brand is designed by influencers and stylists Jeanette Madsen and Thora Valdimars in partnership with Birger Christensen.

Known for: 1980s inspired party dresses in rich colours and bold silhouettes.

Who wears it: The brand is sure to be a hot favourite of fashion girls everywhere. Actress Hera Hilmar was spotted wearing the pink mini dress with intricate button details.

The Key Piece:  Their ultimate party dress with puffed sleeves.
