Barbour have once again given us a reason to look forward to crisp winter days with a series of collaborations with some of fashion’s favourite names. Alexa Chung returns with her take on the cult classics and for the first time Copenhagen brand Ganni brings playful yet streamlined Scandinavian style to Barbour’s famous quilts and coats. While London-based House of Hackney, known for their jungle and floral prints, give a new spin on the Barbour lining while Barbour International by Roksanda offer coats for after dark.

First up is Alexa Chung, who has designed her 7th collaboration with the British brand. She stepped in front of the camera on the rugged coastline of the North-East of England, to do what she does best, show us how the pieces should be worn. The latest collection features new design details including teddy faux-fur, sporran pockets and an exclusive tartan developed by Alexa, which features in the lining of the Blair Quilt and the Elizabeth Wax. Heavy quilted jackets and contemporary black PVC fabrics also make up the collection alongside the more traditional Barbour wax styles, each crafted for a country stroll or a rainy walk to the pub.

We are in a moment in time now where people are now turning back to tradition and have a deeper appreciation of craftsmanship because obviously we couldn't have continued like we were going on and so actually the most modern thing ever is to look to the past.
