Rathwood 10-Year Guarantee

This Christmas Tree Guarantee ("Guarantee") is provided by Rathwood (the “Guarantor”) to the original purchaser ("Customer") of a Rathwood Christmas tree purchased via Brown Thomas and Arnotts only. This document sets out the terms under which a consumer may make a claim and does not limit the consumer’s statutory rights under Irish and EU law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and applicable European Union consumer protection legislation.

1.) Scope of Guarantee: This Guarantee applies to Rathwood Christmas trees purchased directly from Brown Thomas / Arnotts, including pre-lit artificial trees and standard artificial trees. The Guarantee covers the following components, subject to the limitations and exclusions outlined below

Tree Structure and Branches: Protection against manufacturing defects in the metal or plastic frame, base connection points, and branch integrity.

Tree Stand: Guarantee against faults in material or workmanship affecting functionality.

Pre-Lit Electrical Components (if applicable): Coverage for electrical faults in:

Plug and internal wiring

Connecting pole or integrated wiring junctions

LED or fixed bulb string systems

2.) Duration of the Guarantee

The duration of this Guarantee varies depending on the component and is valid from the original date of delivery. This Guarantee is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser residing in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland

Tree Stand: 10 years

Pre-Lit Electrical Components (if applicable): 2 years

3.) How to Make a Claim

To initiate a claim under this Guarantee:

2. Provide the following:

Proof of purchase

Photos and/or video evidence clearly showing the issue

Any requested details regarding product usage, storage, and assembly

3. Rathwood will assess the claim within a reasonable timeframe. We reserve the right to request additional evidence or information before making a determination.

4.) Resolution Options

Where a valid defect is identified, Rathwood may, at its discretion:

Repair the item

Replace the item or relevant component(s)

Offer a partial refund or store credit

Provide compensation in lieu of a replacement

5.) Exclusions

The guarantee does not cover:

Normal wear and tear, fading, or cosmetic deterioration from general use or storage.

Damage from incorrect assembly or failure to follow provided instructions.

Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, tampering, or modification by the consumer or third party.

Electrical faults resulting from overloading, external power surges, or improper use.

Damage caused by exposure to moisture or storage in unsuitable conditions.

Products used in commercial or non-domestic environments.

Products sold in Clearance sales or marked as non-returnable/final sale.

Products exported outside the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.

Rathwood investigates all claims individually, in good faith, and in line with our commitment to fair trading. All decisions are made by the Customer Service team in conjunction with our quality assurance and supplier partners.

Important: Rathwood reserves the right not to apply the Guarantee in instances of suspected misuse, excessive wear, or tampering by the customer or any third party
