Earlier this year, Canada Goose published its 2020 Sustainability Report, which highlights the sustainable progress the brand has already made plus it sets new eco-commitments to reaffirm its purpose to “keep the planet cold and the people on it warm”. From extreme-weather parkas to gilets perfect for in-between temperatures, here are the best sustainable coats for men courtesy of Canada Goose.
THE CITY SLICKER
For those who want winter warmth with urban aesthetics, the Macmillan Parka is a perfect choice. With a Thermal Experience Index (TEI) 3 classification, this mid-length parka can withstand -20°C temperatures. Crafted from a waterproof technical outer shell in a variety of wearable yet durable colours, it features a quilted design with heavy down padding ensuring extra insulation. The down has been responsibly sourced, ensuring animal welfare best practice is upheld throughout the supply chain. Providing additional coverage with a drawstring hood and ribbed cuffs, it's modernised with a curved hemline, while the brand's signature patch sits at the sleeve.

Canada Goose's durable nylon-ripstop Lodge Packable Jacket is treated with a wind and water-resistant finish to protect you from the harshest elements. It's filled with responsibly sourced lightweight down and quilted for even distribution of heat. Wear on its own on mild winter days and fall evenings or layer under a heavy-duty coat for extra warmth. And due to its ability to be packed neatly into its own inner pocket, it is ideal for long winter hikes.

Merging a fine merino wool knit with the brand's signature padded insulation, the HyBridge Knit Jacket from Canada Goose is a premium piece for a cold Irish winter. Filled with responsibly sourced goose down and feathers, it's built with Thermal Mapping technology that increases ventilation where you need it most, keeping you at an optimum temperature at all times. Designed for layering and transitional weather, this jacket pairs perfectly with a T-shirt, jeans and trainers for a casual and contemporary look. In 2017, Canada Goose committed to only use wool from sheep without the practice of mulesing. To do so, the brand requires that its suppliers confirm that all wool is sourced from farms that do not use this practice. By making this change in its production line, they are continuing to commit to responsible animal welfare practices.
THE WEAR ANYWHERE
The best feature of the Carson jacket from Canada Goose is its vast versatility. Fully padded with a waterproof shell, it's designed with a drawstring hood and zips up to an oversized funnel neckline that is sure to keep you warm in the coldest temperatures. In fact, it rates a 4 on the Thermal Experience Index, performing in temperatures as low as -25°C. In conjunction, the design is timeless with its longline length. As with the MacMillan Parka above, this jacket also contains responsibly sourced down.

By 2025, all feathers and down used across our business and in the products we sell will come from the by-product of poultry production: geese, duck, turkey and chicken only - and from certified sources.
