LINGERIE IS ALL YOU NEED

It's that time of year again when you get to indulge in some beautiful new lingerie. We spoke to our lingerie buyer Roslyn Ellis about innovation in lingerie design and what trends to look out for this spring…

Lingerie is so personal and sometimes you just want to buy something beautiful as a special treat. This signature style from Chantal Thomass (a new and exclusive brand) is a real collector’s piece and don't you just love the soft pink shade?

My top tip when shopping for new lingerie is to try something you wouldn't usually wear. Often when customers come in and try something they are really surprised that certain styles can work for them. Take this lace bra also by Chantal Thomass, the shape is so spectacular when you see it up close and personal and actually very wearable, even though there is a layer of lace it sits flat underneath your clothing for a perfect finish.

Fantasie is the go-to brand if you have a larger cup size. And, did you know red is invisible under white, so if you wear light colours a lot then this is a great alternative to nude underwear.

Empreinte is known as the made-to-measure lingerie brand because they create a truly specialised fit, you can get up to 60 sizes in one style. And the floral embroidery on this style is just divine.

This Wacoal bralette is a welcome addition to the extensive bralette range in the Lingerie Rooms as it's the first of its kind suitable for a D size cup. Even though a non-wire bra wouldn’t typically be seen as good at support this brand caters for those with larger cup sizes. This pretty style sits well with the already best selling lace affair range by Wacoal.

The triangle shape bra is back in vogue this season and this shape will work wonderfully under a low-cut chemise or blouse, it's really designed so that some of the lace and mesh can be revealed not concealed. This is a great example of the way designers are moving towards more cross-pollination between fashion and lingerie.

Destination wear is a new buzzword in lingerie, it's a kind of a hybrid between lingerie and sleepwear. Love Stories were influenced by all things Italian this season hence the kitsch Sicilian lemon print. It's a lovely option if you are looking for something more relaxed and fun for your honeymoon or mini-break.

The easiest way to gift lingerie is to gift something silky. Who doesn’t love a silk chemise or nightdress in their wardrobe? Even if you don’t know what you’re looking for, there are always options such as camis, shorts, chemises and robes that come in a range of sizes. Our lingerie experts will be glad to help and guide you in store.
