MEET IRELAND'S NEXT TOP MODEL

Kelly worked with Charlotte Tilbury and the team last October, during the Brown Thomas Style Summit event when Charlotte launched her Christmas collection at a masterclass and PR media lunch. She was once again chosen as one of Charlotte’s Irish models during the visit and appeared on the brand’s global Instagram account. It was during Charlotte’s visit to Brown Thomas that Horrigan was introduced to the brand’s global team and art director. Little did she know then that they would cast her in the New Pillow Talk campaign a few months later. She explains that the campaign was shot during Covid-19, “they couldn't do a regular style casting so everything was done over email which meant lots of photos and videos of me and my eyelashes being sent back and forth.”

When asked on what her highlights from the shoot were, Kelly explains from the second she arrived “all I saw was pink! Pink props, pink clothes and piles of the iconic rose gold packaging”. She tells us she loved every minute of the shoot, “from being transformed into a Pillow Talk girl” to shooting on a large set. The Pillowtalk campaign not only features an Irish model at the centre of it but Charlotte Tilbury PRO artist, Sarah-Jane Was O’Flynn, was the makeup artist on set and making Horrigan the ultimate Charlotte Tilbury beauty. Kelly added “it was so nice to have another Irish girl on set and I love SJ. The PRO artists at CT are incredible, I’ve learned so much from them”.

Kelly explains the excitement she felt while waiting for the campaign to come out, “seeing the images was just brilliant.” she describes the campaign as a career highlight and says that featuring in a Charlotte Tilbury campaign was, “a real dream come true." "If you asked me six months ago what my career goal was, it would have been this without a doubt.” When the Irish model first met Charlotte at a Brown Thomas beauty event, she said it as a surreal experience as she had always admired the brand and then “there Charlotte was doing my makeup", “I remember feeling amazing afterwards and not wanting to take the makeup off!”

When asked about her own favourite Charlotte Tilbury products, Kelly tells us that her, “holy grail products are Hollywood Flawless Filter for base and Airbrush Flawless Powder, it's amazing for touch ups. I also love the lip products, my go-to combo is the Pillow Talk liner and the Very Victoria lippy. Now though, Pillow Talk Push Up Mascara is my ultimate favourite, it is a brilliant mascara for length and volume but it holds a very special place in my heart.”

For makeup to sit flawlessly on the skin Horrigan has found that never missing her skincare routine is the key, “in the morning I cleanse, use a Vitamin C serum, the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream Light and an SPF. At night, I double cleanse to remove my makeup, pop on my antioxidant serum, hyaluronic acid and finish up with the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream and Eye Rescue. When applying Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Mascara Kelly recommends “placing the brush at the roots of the lashes and combing upwards.
