Muckross Lake Loop, Killarney, Co Kerry
The Killarney National Park in Kerry needs no introduction and while there are many walks to take, the Muckross Lake Loop Walk is spectacular. Select a route that takes you down to the lake shore. If you make it as far as Reenadinna Wood you may catch a glimpse of the country’s only wild herd of red deer and if you fancy a coffee along the way drop into Dinis Cottage for a takeaway cuppa. You’ll also have the option to pass by the stunning Torc Waterfall by adding a little detour to the route. A winter white coat will make a striking yet cosy statement on this walk and will bring you from coffee to outdoor drinks seamlessly.

The Devils Glen, Ashford, Co Wicklow
A short jaunt from Dublin, the Devil's Glen is a popular Wicklow walking spot. It's peaceful tranquil setting offers woodland sculptures, a Seamus Heaney walk and a lush waterfall to discover along the way. The fact that you can cover this walk in little over an hour or let it stretch on for a whole afternoon makes Devil’s Glen the a great place to take the whole family. Bring a picnic and soak up the views, hiker boots and a waxed jacket will get you to the top stylishly.
