WHAT’S ON YOUR RADAR…
Our team at Brown Thomas Arnotts create amazing shoots and campaigns with the help of some of the very best creatives across the UK and Ireland. This autumn, we caught up with the insiders to share their thoughts from behind the scenes. We spoke to Brown Thomas Arnotts Head Stylist Darren Feeney and videographer Dave O’Carroll from The People We Meet, the brains behind our autumn winter shoot to talk about working in the industry and what's on their radar right now.

What Inspired The Brown Thomas Autumn Winter 2022 Shoot?
"The shoot was a celebration of the season, a play on scale and shapes which mirrors the silhouettes we loved from the runways, ranging from irrational shapes to a focus on the waist. I really loved what the photographer Clark Franklyn brought to the shoot with bright images full of movement."
What was the standout show and key piece you loved for AW 2022?
"As a Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada fan, it was all about Prada for me. This year did not disappoint. It was the show of the season for me. I adored the transparent looks and floral appliqued skirts."
Darren's favourite look from the AW22 shoot.
What places you will adventure to this autumn/winter?
"I love Scandinavian culture and am excited to visit Stockholm and see the archipelago in autumn."
What surprises you about working in fashion?
"There are so many elements to the industry, you must wear many hats when styling and art directing. Also, the team is key to making that picture so it's important to have the right talent on each project."
What podcasts/shows are on your list right now?
"I laughed my head off listening to the boys from the 'I'm Grand Mam' podcast recently on holiday and also enjoyed Raven Smith 'Behind the BOSS' for interesting fashion chats."

What do you think makes a great short film/video?
"In terms of short fashion films, I think it's all about creating an atmosphere that the viewer could see themselves in. There also needs to be an energy that makes people want to know what's coming next."
What Surprises You About Working On Fashion Shoots?
"Maybe I'm just lucky, but I feel like fashion shoots are always really fun. There's always so many people with different skills coming together for such a short amount of time to try and create something they can be proud of. It's just so nice to spend time with so many creative people."
What places you will adventure to this autumn/winter?
"Dingle. Driving over Conor's Pass on the way there is always my favourite part of the journey. I've only started going to Dingle recently so it still feels new. As long as I get one drive around the peninsula when the sun is going down, I'm happy."
What podcasts/shows are on your list right now?
"I think I might have overindulged in podcasts - so I'm kind of sick of them right now, but I always love Desert Island Discs. From a TV show point of view, I've just caught up on Atlanta from Donald Glover which always seems to be going places where other shows don't go. The Bear is an incredible show about a struggling deli restaurant in Chicago which is also a must-watch."
