Our masters and apprentices looked beyond our shores to another island nation that finds beauty in mixing tradition with intuition. Rare Japanese casks meet Midleton's finest drops, for a tangential taste journey. The land of the rising sun's rarest oak meets Ireland's most inventive distillery.
- Nose: Coffee cake, toasted nuts, worn leather. Taste: Nutmeg, vanilla, wood tannis. Finish: Pot still spice, subtle fruits, fresh oak.
- This whiskey's story began in 1988 in a bourbon barrel before curosity got the better of us. After its 30 year start it was refilled into this rare mizunara cask from Japan for 3 years. The result, a perfect harmony of spicy pot still and perfumed oak.
- Sustainability: Made in Ireland.
