Helping Our Heroes

Here at Brown Thomas, we continue to be humbled by those working tirelessly on the forefront of the current global health crisis. In order to show our immeasurable gratitude to our healthcare heroes and the patients they are caring for, we are donating much-needed products to The Mater Hospital and CHI Crumlin.

What are we doing to help?

The items being donated to the healthcare teams at The Mater Hospital include 10,000 disposable medical gloves, blankets, duvets, pillows and beauty care sets for the team to make their long, tiring days a little more comfortable. We have also donated electrical equipment, including kettles and toasters, to support staff rooms and make much-needed breaks better.

Over 150 toys and board games were donated to CHI at Crumlin, along with story books and beauty sets in order to offer some distraction to the young patients and their parents.

Together, while apart...

“We are extremely grateful for all of the support that Brown Thomas Arnotts have given to the Mater during this crisis. These are unbelievably challenging times for everyone and this support means so much to all of the frontline staff as they battle against the impact of Covid-19 while continuing to care for other critically ill patients with conditions such as cancer and heart disease” said Tom Hickey, Head of Fundraising & Communications at The Mater Foundation

Denise Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of CMRF Crumlin, which is part of the Children’s Health Foundation family, said “On behalf of all of us here in CMRF Crumlin and the staff, patients and families in CHI at Crumlin, I'd like to thank our kind friends in Brown Thomas Arnotts for their wonderful donation of toys, books, board games and more to the hospital. These items will help brighten days for children in CHI at Crumlin and bring joy and fun to the hospital's wards and departments. At this difficult time, we are so grateful for this support - thank you Brown Thomas Arnotts for doing whatever it takes for children and families in Crumlin”.
