The Trends That Took Centre Stage
The 2025 awards season kicked off with the 82nd annual Golden Globes. This year’s red carpet dazzled with metallic moments, tailored elegance, golden glamour and the best dressed men that came to make a statement.
Metallic Moments
The Golden Globes red carpet was nothing short of spectacular featuring glitz and glam, starting with Angelina Jolie’s show-stopping crystal chain embroidered gown by Alexander McQueen and joining her with silver sparkles was Nicole Kidman gowned in a shimmering Balenciaga design.
Tailored Elegance
This year we saw a refreshing twist on the traditional red carpet attire with Kate Winslet bossing it in a bespoke, brilliant white suit by Erdem. Similarly, Tilda Swinton made a striking statement in Chanel, wearing a cream and gold tweed jacket paired with a dramatic black maxi skirt. Both looks offered a bold, contemporary twist on classic style.
Diamonds & Drama
It was a dazzling affair as jewellery made a ‘more is more’ approach on the red carpet. Zendaya stunned in a copper Louis Vuitton gown and was adorned in silver jewels, including a sparkly diamond on the fourth finger of her left hand. Golden Glam
Golden glam stole the show this year, with stars flaunting cat-eye flicks, shimmering tones and statement lips. Wicked star Cynthia Erivo turned heads in a sparkling, sultry look. Makeup artist Joanna Simkin used Benefit Cosmetics to create her glowing look, featuring The POREfessional Matte Primer, Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer, and BADgal BANG! Waterproof Mascara.
Best Dressed Men
The 2025 Golden Globes offered a masterclass in men’s style, with stars like Andrew Garfield and Colin Farrell leading the way on the red carpet. Presenting the awards, Andrew Garfield looked sharp in a custom Gucci wool tuxedo. Colin Farrell, who took home the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Limited Series, wowed in a timeless black-and-white Dolce & Gabbana suit, complete with a dark bow tie and button-down shirt.
