We talked to the designer to find out more...

Today I 'm wearing… our newest jewellery stacked with simple jeans and a T-shirt. They brighten up any outfit and my week!

My favourite item in my wardrobe is… my feather bandeau tops. You can dress them up with a skirt or tone it down with jeans, it's my go-to when I want to feel confident.

The person whose style I most admire is… my mum. She's always had amazing style and puts things together in a unique way.

I want my brand to be remembered for… making my clients feel their best.

If I could have anyone wear my designs it would be… Rihanna. She's so iconic in every way!

I can't leave the house without… my sunglasses.

My favourite thing about Ireland is… the people.

frkl

Angela Scanlon is a name that needs no introduction but her new customisable jewellery collection, frkl is certainly worth putting on your radar. A fun-loving jewellery brand set out to celebrate life’s so-called ‘imperfections’, the collection is made up of demi-fine, unique, keep-forever pieces that can be layered, mix and matched or worn solo as a chic statement.

We talked to the designer to find out more...

Today I’m wearing…classic blue jeans, a tie-dye sweatshirt from Love Charlotte (a Dublin brand I adore) and a bed head. Oh and jewellery, I never take it off.

My favourite item in my wardrobe is…my satin Birkenstocks. They're from a collaboration a few years back with 'Il Dolce Far Niente' and they signal summer.

The person whose style I most admire is…I love an Olsen twin. I have to mine the internet for old pictures as they've essentially gone into hiding but that wild mix of vintage chic and high end hobo is quite heady and aspirational.

I want my brand to be remembered for…being inclusive, expressive, JOYFUL.

If I could have anyone wear my designs it would be…Lizzo!

I can't leave the house without...my gold hoops, ideally dripping with mismatched frkl charms!

My favourite thing about Ireland is...the unspoken. Irish people are dazzlingly brilliant at saying everything and nothing. I used to find it confusing but it is a joyful dance, understanding and connection needs to be earned, it's never gifted.

KINDRED OF IRELAND

Founded by Amy Anderson, Kindred of Ireland breathes new life into the tradition of Irish linen by creating timeless pieces with a contemporary edge. Following in the footsteps of her grandparents who both worked in linen mills, Amy values family above all else when it comes to creating her collections by collaborating with family-run linen mills across the country.

We talked to the designer to find out more...

Today I’ m wearing… A longline white skirt, our 'Freya' blouse in black and leather cage sandals.

My favourite item in my wardrobe is… My quilted 'Cloud Coat'. It’s the first coat I ever made and it was a labour of love. It’s easy to throw on and feels fun to wear.

The person whose style I most admire is… The Olsen twins. I love how they have fun with more 'serious' pieces by playing with volume and proportion. How they accessorise is always a little unexpected and adds a bohemian/vintage element that gives their signature clean lines an interesting contrast.

I want my brand to be remembered for… A connection to something deeper. I strive to create pieces that make you feel really good about yourself. I would also love for my brand to be remembered for reviving skills and traditions that have been passed down through the years here in Ireland.

If I could have anyone wear my designs it would be… Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

I can 't leave the house without… A gold necklace with my two little boys’ initials.

My favourite thing about Ireland is... The richness of our heritage and skill that has been passed down through the years. This is one of my biggest sources of inspiration for Kindred of Ireland. And of course, the hospitality.

ÉADACH BY SARA O’NEILL

Following her hugely successful years as a CREATE designer, Éadach by Sara O’Neill returns with a stunning collection inspired by Belfast’s 1930s Art Deco architecture and textile history, crafting a story which pays homage to the Belfast ‘Millies’, the incredibly skilled women who worked in the linen mills of Ulster. She has developed this story into a print, which features on silk scarves, dresses and kimonos trimmed with Irish linen.

We talked to the designer to find out more...

Today I’m wearing...a black silk slip dress, an Éadach silk kimono (pink Róisín Dubh), a huge grey cardigan my mum knitted and Birkenstocks.

My favourite item in my wardrobe is…my hand-painted leather jacket.

The person whose style I most admire is…it’s more than one person, it’s my customers. I just love seeing how they wear, style and move in my designs. It’s so inspiring. I never get tired of seeing people out and about in Éadach, either in real life or when I’m scrolling on social media.

I want my brand to be remembered for…stories. Both the stories I tell through my prints and the stories that unfold when people are wearing my garments, that will forever be woven into the fabric.

If I could have anyone wear my designs it would be...Stevie Nicks.

I can't leave the house without...an Éadach scarf!

My favourite thing about Ireland is…the people, the landscape and the stories.

My favourite item in my wardrobe is… a pair of Miu Miu shoes I bought myself for my graduation. They have since taken me on lots of adventures and will always be so special to me!

The person whose style I most admire is… Jenny Walton. I relate to her because she approaches dressing according to her mood. She doesn't live by a uniform and is so creative in putting together her ensembles, showing that you can create infinite combinations with what's already in your wardrobe.

I want my brand to be remembered for… bringing joy into women's wardrobes.

If I could have anyone wear my designs it would be… someone like Blake Lively or Gwyneth Paltrow. I love how Paltrow is so unapologetically herself, and I think she has beautiful taste. Closer to home, I would love to see Róisín Murphy in my designs, I just love her attitude and daring style

I can't leave the house without...wearing a cloud of my favourite perfume, Marc Jacobs Daisy. I first bought a bottle when my mother took me on a trip to Paris for my birthday, so it will always remind me of the fun memories we made there. I love how a scent can instantly take you back in time to a special memory or feeling.

My favourite thing about Ireland is...after the people, it has to be the landscape and how relatively close everything is. I love that I can choose to go hiking to take in a view of the city, or in a short drive be at the sea. I always feel at peace when I'm looking out at the horizon, especially at sunset.

The person whose style I most admire is… people who are not necessarily led by current trends, people who wear whatever they are drawn to. It's amazing to see people embrace their own individuality and wear it with confidence. I believe confidence is the key to pulling anything off.

I want my brand to be remembered for… my end goal is to have a positive impact on each wearer without negatively impacting the environment, and remaining handmade in Ireland.

If I could have anyone wear my designs who would it be… Rihanna. Growing up, watching what she wore and how she wore it was formative for my approach to personal style. She also refuses to be put into a box, dressing according to her mood at that time. I emulated that.

I can't leave the house without... feeling good about what I'm wearing. For me, putting time and thought into my outfit every morning has the ability to transform a bad day.

My favourite thing about Ireland is... that if you walk down any street, you are bound to bump into someone you know. Don't get me wrong, some days it can be a bad thing and I'm hiding under my hat - but usually, human connection is good for the soul.

Hand-made in Dublin, GABSLUK only make limited quantities of their designs to not only uphold a sustainable brand ethos but to give its customer a piece that is special to them.

Today I’ m wearing… a Sleeper linen dress (my staple summer piece), trainers and lots of GABSLUK jewellery as always!

My favourite item in my wardrobe is… my beaded STAUD bag as it always reminds me of my passion for creating beaded jewellery (and my vintage blazers).

The person whose style I most admire is… Emili Sindlev, Matilda Djerf and my boyfriend Stephen.

I want my brand to be remembered for… being inclusive and bringing lots of joy to someone's day.

If I could have anyone wear my designs it would be… Harry Styles and Peggy Gou.

I can't leave the house without… my jewellery (mix and match earrings always) and a fun bag.

My favourite thing about Ireland is… all of the creative people that I’ve had the chance to connect with since creating GABSLUK.

FIORSÓ

In pursuit of a lifelong dream, Sara Ross gave up her career as an international lawyer to design and create her own jewellery brand, FiorSó. Pronounced“ fee - er - so”, the name FiorSó is a modern fusion of the Irish words 'Fior' meaning ‘real/true’ and 'Só' meaning 'luxury’ which perfectly sums up Sara’s designs. Expect vibrant, joyful gold-and-silver-tone pieces paired with colourful enamelling and pearls.

Today I’ m wearing… a lovely vintage coat, comfy jeans, black pumps and my own FiorSó jewellery.

My favourite item in my wardrobe is… my silk Art Nouveau - style kimono dressing gown.

The person whose style I most admire is… Coco Chanel.

I want my brand / designs to be remembered for… beautiful designs with a hint of nostalgia.

If I could have anyone wear my designs it would be… Lady Gaga.

I can 't leave the house without... my cherry blossom earrings from our Reverie Collection!

My favourite thing about Ireland is... the rain… only joking! The ability not to take life too seriously.

SIADBH

Having been drawn to and benefited from wearing and connecting with crystals for years, Siadbh Duffy created her eponymous jewellery line out of a desire to share this experience with others. What first started out as a crystal amulet wrapped in a guitar string has developed into a beautiful collection handcrafted in Kilkenny with 9ct solid gold materials and each crystal is ethically sourced from India.

Today I’ m wearing… cream trousers, a black puff sleeved Aoife McNamara top, Black Tourmaline and Carnelian Amulets.

My favourite item in my wardrobe is… (apart from my Amulets), I would say my Penny Lane inspired coat from the Australian brand 'Spell'. I bought it second-hand from an artist and it brings me so much joy.

The person whose style I most admire is… Roz Purcell. Her style is authentic, colourful and unique.

I want my brand to be remembered for… having a positive impact on peoples’ lives and creating a movement of people wearing crystals once again.

If I could have anyone wear my designs it would be… Roz Purcell (again!)

I can 't leave the house without wearing… a Crystal Amulet.

My favourite thing about Ireland is… the beautiful land from the oceans to mountains and forests, Ireland has it all.

BLÁITHÍN ENNIS

Having recently shown at London Fashion Week in collaboration with designer Paul Costelloe, Bláithín Ennis is returning to CREATE to showcase her latest designs. Every piece is entirely made by hand and inspired by her natural surroundings in coastal Ireland. Using whimsical shell mesh as her primary aesthetic, combined with mixtures of robust metals and sparkling crystals, Bláithín’s pieces are strikingly unique.

Today I’ m wearing… my Lucy Nagle x Vogue Williams sportswear jumper and bottoms. Casual & comfy, with a touch of glam!

My favourite item in my wardrobe is… my Diane Von Furstenberg metallic Stephanie Knit bag. I worked at her studio in New York and it was their parting gift to me. One of my most treasured possessions.

The person whose style I most admire is… Rihanna. Although I don’t adore all her fashion choices, I love how she dresses for herself and constantly changes the narrative of fashion with her individual expression.

I want my brand to be remembered for… being fashion-forward and timeless.

If I could have anyone wear my designs it would be… Michelle Obama. I love her and like her classy yet strong, feminine style. I greatly admire her qualities as a person, so she is my number one.

I can 't leave the house without... wearing other Irish jewellery designers. When I leave the house, I’m always wearing my Chupi citrine ring and my gorgeous gold Eric McGuire ‘follow you star’ ring! Two great Irish designers.

My favourite thing about Ireland is... that it's bursting with indigenous creativity and talent, and it's full of personality. I have been so fortunate to meet many people in my own design endeavours over the years. Cooks, writers, actors, models, incredible craftspeople, all possessing that wonderful Irish sense of humour and humility.

CIARA O’NEILL

Having recently lived in Australia for eight years, Ciara O’Neill became inspired by the vibrant colour patterns of the country’s ever-changing landscape. It was also in Australia where she found her passion for resin art and the liberties it allowed her to reach as an artist. Now back home in the West of Ireland, Ciara has turned her hand to ceramics made in her signature abstract prints.

Today I'm wearing… my trusty white and neon yellow Nike blaze runners, straight-leg blue jeans, my Grey and Ginger sweater, my frkl necklace and Jo Malone peony and blush suede perfume.

My favourite item in my wardrobe is… my Ganni orange leopard print dress that I wore to the Brown Thomas Dundrum launch because it reminds me so much of such an amazing time.

The person whose style I most admire is… Gwen Stefani. I love how she's so different to everyone with her unique fashion choices. I even love how she's styled her home, it really reflects her taste in fashion.

I want my designs to be remembered for… bringing a bit of quirkiness and joy into people's lives. I obviously love lots of colour and I want my work to bring that element of something different into a home.

If I could have anyone own my designs it would be… someone who loves having a pop of colour in their home. It's amazing what a bit of colour can do in a room to bring a sense of fun and happiness.

I can't leave the house without… my Vizsla. Rio is my dog who just loves company. Vizslas are nicknamed velcro dogs because they basically stick to their humans. He's such a happy dog and when he's not asleep all he wants is attention and playtime.

My favourite thing about Ireland is… my family and friends. They have been such a huge support to me since I moved home from Australia and started my business. You can't beat the sunny days and blue skies either when they come around because there are so many amazing spots to visit and explore here like dogs bay in Roundstone or the diamond in Connemara.
