HAILEY BIEBER’S MAKE-UP MUST-HAVES

How did you become an ambassador for bareMinerals?

"A few years ago bareMinerals came to my team and we started conversations and we felt it was a really organic pairing. My mom had used bareMinerals for years, so I was really familiar with the brand and everything just kind of fell into place. I fell in love with the bareMinerals team and from the first photo shoot we ever did together I just knew that I loved working with them."

What are your favourite products from this brand?

"My God there's so many, but currently I really love the new Ageless Collection, which is made with Phyto-Retinol. I really like the Night Concentratate, the Face Cream and I really love the Eye Cream. I think it's a really gentle anti-ageing product to start using at my age. I also really love the Strength & Length Mascara. I've been using that a lot during COVID times because when you're wearing masks every day, you can only see the eyes. So the Strength & Length Mascara and Brow Gel are two of my favourites."

What make-up products do you use most regularly?

"Usually, I go for a really natural look, but I like to play it up sometimes as well. My favourite items in my routine when I'm doing a full face of make-up would be the new Original Liquid Foundation and Concealer from bareMinerals. Especially the concealer because sometimes I don't even use foundation. I'll just tap concealer in the places where I need it. So, those are absolute musts for me, and the new Original Liquid Mineral Foundation that has SPF, that I love to use. It stays on the skin really nicely and can transition well into the nighttime. I would do that and maybe a little bit of blush, a little mascara. I definitely love the Strength & Length Mascara. That has been one of my favourites over quarantine because we’re wearing masks, right, so all you can really see are the eyes and the mascara has a serum in it that helps your lashes to grow. I've definitely seen a big difference since using it."

Your skin is flawless, what’s your secret?

"I've been really obsessed with skincare since I was a teenager. My mom and grandmother were always really into skincare too. It's just something we talked about all the time and their interest in it grew my interest. When I started modelling, I was getting my make-up done all the time, having people essentially paint my face, so I just really got interested in keeping my canvas clean and clear and having clean skin for the make-up artists to work with that was healthy and radiant. I'm finding ways to maintain my skin while travelling and having so much make-up put on it and you know, just kind of learning that way."

What’s your favourite make-up look?

"I really like something natural. I like a rosy cheek, you know a little bit of blush, mascara, a subtle eye colour, and a nude lip. I definitely go for the less-is-more mentality."

What’s the most used make-up item in your beauty bag?

"That’s tough. If I could only use two things for the next six months it would definitely be the bareMinerals Strength & Length Mascara and the Original Liquid Concealer."

Before you go to sleep, what is the last thing you do beauty-wise?

"I never go to sleep with make-up on. Like I literally have never. I pride myself on this. I’ve never gone to sleep with make-up on no matter what the circumstances. I could have been super drunk and it's still coming off no matter what. I always make sure I clean my face before I go to sleep."

Any application tips for getting that natural, glowy make-up look?

"I like to apply skin make-up with my fingers. I do think that you get that skin-to-skin contact that helps it stay really, really natural and helps it press into the skin so it doesn't ever look cakey. And I do the same with my highlighter I apply it with my fingers. I'll dot my lip colour on with my finger so that's not too intense. I think that's probably my biggest trick."
